Open LinkedIn on any weekday morning and you will find more B2B marketing advice than anyone could read in a year. Frameworks. Predictions. Ten-step playbooks. Confident takes on what is dead and what is next.
Very little of it sounds like the people I actually speak to in this industry. When you sit down with a marketing leader, a demand generation practitioner or a founder and ask how something really went, the answers are rarely tidy. They talk about the campaign that worked for reasons nobody predicted, the reorganisation that took twice as long as planned, the technology that solved one problem and created two more. That is where the useful learning lives.
Information is easy to find. Experience is not.
B2B marketing is changing quickly. Artificial intelligence, data, automation, changing buyer expectations and new approaches to demand generation are reshaping how businesses engage with their markets. None of us has a complete map.
In that situation, a polished opinion is less valuable than an honest account. What did you try? What did you stop doing? What would you tell someone facing the same decision next quarter?
Sometimes the most valuable insight comes from simply listening to someone else's experience.
What B2B Converge will do
B2B Converge is an independent media and conversations platform for the B2B marketing community. We start with four things:
- Conversations — long-form interviews and short, focused ones with the people doing the work and leading the teams.
- Podcasts and video — discussion-led episodes on the opportunities and pressures shaping modern B2B marketing.
- Perspectives — original articles, informed opinion and practical lessons from across the industry.
- The B2B Brief — a curated newsletter that gathers the best of it in one place.
Over time we want this to become something bigger: roundtables, community, research, events. But we will build it step by step, and only talk about those things once they are real.
How we will approach it
We will ask good questions and listen properly. We will choose substance over promotion, and experience over hype. We will feature senior leaders and emerging practitioners, because both see things the other cannot. And we will keep the format relaxed, because people say more interesting things when they are not performing.
If you have a story to tell, an idea to share or a perspective worth hearing, I would like to hear from you. And if you know someone whose experience deserves a wider audience, introduce us.
The conversation starts here.
